We are gearing up for a round of testing. Students will take 4 district assessments between March 1-9. All exams will be taken for a grade in their respective classes. Please see the schedule below:
Monday, 2/27 – regular blue
Tuesday, 2/28 – regular green
Wednesday, 2/29 – funky early release
Thursday, 3/1 – testing blue (6th grade math) — no retake, only test corrections (up to a 70%)
Friday, 3/2 – testing green (6th grade social studies)
Monday, 3/5 – charger
Tuesday, 3/6 – testing blue (6th grade reading) — no retake, only test corrections (1 point per corrected answer)
Wednesday, 3/7 – testing green (6th grade science)
Thursday, 3/8 – regular blue (make up exams)
Friday, 3/9 – assembly green (make up exams)

Periods 2/5
TB pg. 371 #1-25 all — this is NOT an optional assignment. However, any student who completes this assignment on time will be eligible for the CH 7 Test Retake.
On Wednesday and Thursday this week we will have a testing schedule where the students will remain with one teacher for the first half of the day. In the afternoon they will go to shortened class periods.
On Thursday during the testing block the students will have a Reading STAAR like test with only nonfiction passages. This will count as the nonfiction unit test for this 6 weeks. There will be 3 nonfiction passages and comprehension questions to answer. The test is open notes so the students may use all the materials in their 3 subject notebook.

We will have our honor party for the third grading cycle this Friday February the 3rd. We are seeking parents to voluteer treats or drinks for the occasion. Our goal is 100 treats (cookies, small snacks, etc.) and 50 drinks. Please email Mr. Grantham if you intend to donate. We appreciate you help in the past. We just do not want hundreds of treats that may go to waste. We thank you in advance.
